Colin says: Access Denied to footpath down side of Walney fire station.

There are no less than two gates at the side of this barrier through which the rider could have gained access to the footpath had they not been padlocked. There is a whole network of paths connecting to this one and NOT ONE is accessible to invalid carriage users.
Colin says: Update 2005: Apparently, some councils, (sadly not my own), are now addopting the suggestion I first made several years ago, of replacing the anti-motor-cycle component of physical barriers with RADAR key gates.
