DL says: The former Roa Island Hotel, once part of Roa Island station. The causeway to Roa Island was built by Able Smith to enable the building of a railway to run from Salthouse Junction to the Belfast Pier at Roa Island (via Rampside Station - still behind the Concle), from where the Furness Railway operated scheduled steamer services to Fleetwood and Belfast.
