Colin says: The coastal lagoons (ponds) in the southern bird santuary are the result of salt mining which took part there in the early part of the 20th century.
singo says: I think the ponds were caused by sand and gravel extraction
Anwar says: I thought the sand and gravel extraction was done up the North end
