Colin says: Spoonbills breed in coastal wetlands or inland along river valleys where there are reeds or other suitable vegetation for cover. They nest on the ground or in trees. In Europe they have a patchy distribution from the river deltas adjoining the Black Sea, to the Mediterranean and the Low Countries. They have recently bred in Eastern England.
